::Couldn't disagree more with the previous review. Shvanidzor is most definitely worth the effort, and the road to the village is perfect. The accommodation is 100% authentic village life, so if you are looking for The Hilton Hotel, this isn't for you. However, if you want to be part of the village, experiencing real warmth and hospitality, and the best food you will ever eat, then Shvanidzor is for you. Go to Airb&b and look for "SHVANIDZOR" and see the reviews. Ignore what Lukas wrote below.

::For the standard she offers expensive. She gave us other accomodation and did not inform us in advance, asked full price. Accomodation and food provided by other women , she only takes the money. The willage and the Meghri area are interesting, but the road down there is terrible, so not worth it.
