::If you happen to be around lake Sevan, it is well worth stopping here for the degustation of some of their wines. Probably among the best wines of the region. Also try their brandy, it's really exciting.

::This review is long overdue - our group of 10 visited this amazing winery as part of our tour of Georgia in May 2024. We also stayed overnight in their family guest house (B&B) nearby. We had researched the top wineries of the area and made our reservations half a year ahead and am so glad that we did as the restaurant was full the evening we dined. This is a family run winery and they have an excellent restaurant on site and reservations are essential. Located in a beautiful area with breathtaking views, we were warmly welcomed and as overseas guests, we were made to feel like family. The owner himself (Mr Armen) was the winemaker and was present and conducted the wine tasting personally which was a wonderful introduction to the uniqueness of Georgian wines. Dinner was a multi course affair and absolutely delicious - probably one of the best Georgian meals we had during our 3 week tour of the Caucasus. The wines were absolutely delicious and complemented dinner superbly as well as being reasonably priced. The history and origins of the winery were inspirational and the following day (after spending the night at their B&B which was welcoming, homely, comfortable and warm) we hiked to the site of the Old Bridge (Dadal Bridge), an original structure dating back to the days of Marco Polo (13th Century), the namesake of which the winery was named after. Mr Armen joined us at the site and proudly explained his family’s role in the bridge’s preservation. It is located nearby but quite a hike to reach and it was very scenic and added so much to our understanding of Georgia and its wines. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely recommend visiting and staying overnight at their B&B to fully appreciate the area as well as partake in their foods and excellent wines.

::If you are around I cannot imagine you will not stop in the Old Bridge Winery for lunch and degustation! Degustation included four wines and grappa (grape spirit). Their Areni Reserve wine (2018 vintage) was the best wine I have tasted during my two-week stay in Armenia. It is just outstanding wine. The degustation included also set of snacks (cheese, olives, bread, fruit) - all local from Syunik or Vayots Dzor with bread baked at place. Dishes offered in restaurant are just delicious! You should definetly try their trout from Jermuk!

::Excellent must-visit winery with great views. Our favorites were the rosé and the 2020 red. We also recommend the stracciatella and buffala salads. The steak was also good.

::I really enjoyed my visit here. Food and wine were great. Service was lovely too. It’s a popular place, so better call in advance to make sure it’s not booked for a private event. Will definitely be back.
