  We came here with our family for a quick meal for our kids. Unfortunately, none of us finished our food because it was just mediocre. The service was great, and Ruzan took excellent care of us, but the food did not meet our expectations.

  Great dolma and borani. The beet salad was interesting. The staff was difficult to find to place an order. You can eat by the river but sadly there is trash all in the trees and along the banks. Regardless, the food was delicious and cheap.

  I wasn't expecting much from a road cafe but was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was fast and friendly, food was excellent (excellent kebab!) and the whole restaurant clean and well-arranged. Great place to stop if you are driving between Georgia and Armenia or visiting Lori. Sorry, no food pics, cause I was too busy eating. 😁

  In rural Armenia this restaurant is a welcomed sight. And indeed it is catered to tourists (mostly Russian). Your day trip from Georgia to this region of Armenia will very likely stop here for lunch. I did not see anywhere else along the way except maybe the nearby town with copper mine (huge chimney and abandoned cable car). Nonetheless, we did not have time to explore other than what our guide suggested. Is it good Armenian dish? I couldn’t say. First time to try it. But overall experience was enjoyable. The local chef in BBQ station would try to offer you a shot of vodka and he won’t take no for an answer!
