::The harissa is AMAZING! Highly recommend you eat here while visiting the monastery!! (Edit: it ended up being my favorite harissa in ALL of Armenia, after having 7-8 bowls of it around the country!)

::Every one of the dishes we tried was so delicious that we decided to eat here both nights we were in Tatev. The chef is friendly and helpful and does all the cooking and service by herself! So impressive. Get a seat close to the wood stove when it’s chilly out.
