I guess it is the worst religious community center in Armenia...
At first the Jews who met me there were very unwelcoming. They were the most ignorant religious people thatI had ever met.
Apart from being unwelcoming they were very rude towards someone like me who is interested in Israeli culture and religion. They treated me like an enemy. And also a Jewish woman there was laughing at my questions..I Don't Know Why!!!
Keep on hating the other races... it does not make you special!!!
We came through Armenian backyards and people were very kind showing us the way. I am Jewish, my girlfriend is Thai. Rabbi Gershon was not expecting our visit and yet kindly took his time and energy (it was a fasting day, called צום גדליה in Hebrew) and gave us a fascinating lecture about Jewish community history in Western and Eastern Armenia from before Christianity and till nowadays. The big part of the lecture was in English so my girlfriend could understand, I’ve helped to translate the rest. Indeed Jewish and Armenian share a lot of similarities both historically and geographically. It was very inspiring and meaningful experience. I’ve read the few reviews below, most probably pure misunderstanding took place. Rabbi Gershon is extremely knowledgeable and he is willingly shares his wisdom it his own charismatic way. I am sincerely greatful for the spontaneous opportunity to visit the Synagogue and to meet him.
